Buren Lamar Lout, 90 of El Dorado, Arkansas died Tuesday, November 22, 2016, at John R. Williamson Hospice House.

Lamar was born September 21, 1926, the son of Sidney Earl Lout and Jewel Alberta Vaughn Lout of Smackover, Arkansas.

Proceeding him in death was his parents, his wife or 46 years, Mary Evelyn Baker Lout, Brothers: Thomas Clinton Lout, S. L. Lout, Oscar Lee Lout; Sisters: Christine Short, Lurlene Burton, Lila Belle Johnston, Betty LeBrescu.

Survivors who will cherish memories of him are two sons, David Lee Lout (Pam) of El Dorado, Larry Lamar Lout (Cheri) of Oklahoma City, OK.; a daughter, Rhonda Lea Lout Reeves of Little Rock, AR.; a brother Charles Lout, of Hot Springs, AR.; sisters: LaRue Lewallen (Harold) of Odesa, TX, Miki Boyd(Richard) of Merrietta, GA, Honey Patterson of El Dorado, AR; Myrna Loy Johnson, of Fayetteville, AR, grandsons: Jonathan Lout (Shelly) of El Dorado, Jason Reeves (Lindsey) of Little Rock AR., Aaron Lout (Kensie) of Oklahoma City, OK., Joshua Lout of Oklahoma City, OK.; one granddaughter, Allie Leach Ford (Alex) of El Dorado, three great grandsons, three great granddaughters and a host of nephews and nieces that he loved dearly as his own.

Lamar was the fifth of thirteen siblings. He attended Junction City High School. He served three years in the U.S. Navy, Amphibious Force, in the South Pacific Campaign of W. W. II. He married Mary Evelyn Baker January 16, 1949. He earned a Petroleum Engineering Degree from Oklahoma State University. He was employed by Phillips Petroleum Company for 37 years as Operations Superintendent over fields in Arkansas and Louisiana. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church of El Dorado where he served as a deacon, 3rd grade Sunday School Teacher and a volunteer of the Operation Christmas Child Ministry of which he made several trips to the National Packing Distribution Centers in Dallas and Atlanta. He enjoyed family; gatherings and reunions, hunting at the Bolding Deer Camp, week day visits with his coffee drinking buddies, visiting his friends at the Champagnolle Landing Senior Citizen Center and watching his favorite football teams, OSU, Dallas Cowboys and the Arkansas Razorbacks.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, November 28, 2016 at Young's.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 29, at Young's Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Meeks officiating. Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Park under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
